So Rae appeals to Claires vanity by having the slime mimic Claires form. This pleases her, and she allows Rae to keep the familiar. Claire takes Rae aside and again asks her to agree to leave the school if she wins. Rae, who is certain Claire will pass, instead agrees to Claires terms if Rae loses. If Rae wins, Claire has to do whatever she asks. With that, the magical duels commence within a magical barrier set up by the Knights captain and vice-captain....

She also offers vital counsel regarding an incident between poisoned soldiers and barbarians....

Queen Mirela reports that Motoyasu has been seen in a town neighboring Melromarc. He leaves Eclair in charge and heads out on a Filo-drawn carriage. Good for her, I say. When Motoyasu spots Naofumi he scurries away. Elena is happy to tell Naofumi what happened, but theres not much to say. Elena admits she simply picked the wrong hero to follow. When Motoyasu shows up, Malty tells him to get his loser ass out of her face....

Hakari and Karane are introduced to Rentarous new girlfriend Shizuka and her unique mode of communication. Each comment turns each girl bright red, but are uniformly touched by how much he care for them. Theres some friction when Shizuka learns that Rentarou has already kissed the other girls. When asked if she wants to, she states (though the app) that shes not quite ready. As youd expect, all three girls are on board with this plan....

The peace of the training grounds is disturbed by the screams of those working on rebuilding the village. He doesnt need to be a goblin slayer here. His job is to protect the others. He then has the mage use ice magic to freeze the water and cause the tunnels to crumble. The goblins are beaten above and below ground without too much trouble. Instead, he intends to go adventuring and learn more about how to be a proper wizard....

Stark feels the same way, but hes much more of a scaredy-cat than Fern. He then wounds Granat and takes him prisoner. On their way to the grafs mansion, Fern notices a cloaked figure and recognizes her as Frieren. But Fern wants to protect the town from the demons....

Naobito then exhibits his other superpower: being able to talk someones ear off. Contacting Dagon places him in the same time space as Naobito, only without the tools to operate. In this way, Dagon mops the floor with Dagon....

When Runa confirms it, it send the class into an uproar, and Maria runs off. Ryuuto follows and learns shestartedthe rumors. Well,thatcertainly blew up in her face! Ryuuto, for his part, doesnt kick Maria when shes down. When she slips on the steps, she catches him. When he leaves, Maria isdeterminednot to fall for him for real…but Im not holding by breath! Ryuuto returns to a happy Runa and, to his surprise, a happy Nicole as well....

Chise ends up with Veronica, and wastes no time asking about Philomela. Veronica looks back to when she first met Mela. Someone poisoned Veronicas food on her birthday, and Mela, who tasted it, experiences the horrible effects. Thats right: sheordersMelas evil grandmother, who has no choice but to bow her head and obey. I got a lot of satisfaction out of that. By selecting Philomela, Veronica was able to controlsomething, while also giving Mela a nicer cage....
