When Cyrus blocks the underclassmen with his wall of bones, Nanao arrives to give them cover to escape. She also makes it sounds like shes been looking for a place to die, and has found one. Once there, Oliver gets in Nanaos face and asks her what all the suicidal talk is about. Thats when Nanao looks back to the last and worst battle she ever experienced....

Take it from someone who made a student short film: making one can feel like an endless checklist. Kazuya also managed to get their colleges film club to film it.Progress! At the end of the meeting its raining, and Kazuya runs off to buy an umbrella. Kazuya putting all this effort in motivates Chizuru to work just as hard in her role. Who should happen to cross paths with him than Sumi, making her first appearance this season....

Tsuguru and Aya join Lord Godards family for a meal. She even gets him to feel bad and realize what a fortunate man he is! I also love how Aya and Tsuguru chuckle at each others jokes. Only two lack alibis: Alfred and Claude. Kurosawa Tomoyo is masterful at giving Aya a calm, collected, and direct manner that commands respect. When Claude confronts them in the hallway, he threatens to snap Tsugurus neck....

In the ruins, they encounter a kind of Air & Space Museum where Maria locates Noirs coffin. Unfortunately, the mechs memory is wiped clean. Theres just something beautiful and hilarious about watching her eat ruinously expensive fresh vegetables while everyone stares resentfully. Noir falls asleep watching, and an exhausted-from-work Kanata isnt far behind. How could you not love these archetypal dorks? I find my appreciation for Ellie growing all the while....

Then she crosses paths with a smug Kanetsugu. Neko also notices something off with Masamune, and asks if he can accompany her somewhere after school. Neko decides to be bold and hug him from behind. If hes only pursuing Aki for revenge, it wouldnt be cheating if he fell for Neko. The hug is interrupted by Muriels brothers goons. But when their mom saysshewas the one folding their clean laundry, Chinatsu has to recant and apologize....

Thats right; its four battles for the price of one. Squad 10 vs. Bazz-B is fun because its an ice-vs.-fire battle. Squad 1s battle is one of words against the top Stern Ritter. Kyouraku is his usual laconic self, while Ise Nanao uses a new anti-Quincykidoshes developed. The catch is that its only a temporary barrier. When it dropsand Im sure it willtheyll have to face Haschwalth head-on. He shields her with his body, and BG9 whips out a damnminigun....

He hopes if enough people know him, eventually word will get to Zenith. Their latest job takes them into some very cool subterranean ruins, collecting the scales of snow drakes. The party is bailed out by another party, led by the guy who doesnt like Rudy. The other leader sucker punches Timothy, accusing him of stealing his prey. The leader apologizes, but says Counter Arrow can only take one of the dead drakes back....

Then he has another one. Then he encounters another survivor: a young woman in a tracksuit and hoodie. Yet you could tell from her expression and no-nonsense aura that she doesnt have time to deal with Akira. Yes, even in the zombie apocalypse, he cant get a girls number! Shes trying to maximize her probability of survival; a reckless goof like Akira would only decrease it. When zombies come through the door, the woman simply stands there looking at her folding phone....

Unfortunately for Sengoku, there isnt a cloud in the sky on Sports Day. Fortunately for Izumi, its cool enough that wearing long sleeves isnt uncomfortable. Then Remi makes sure to capitalize on how easily flustered Kyouko gets to beat her in hurdles! After a brief Honoka sighting, we have Izumi joining Remi and Sakura in cheering for Ishikawa. Meanwhile Remis cheer squad wins the support of most of the boys....

The first years classes commence, starting with sword arts (the offline kind). I did notice that instead of wands, our wizard analogues are running around with little daggers. Thanks to Pete wanting to show off his knowledge, we learn theyre calledathames. Chela does Oliver a solid and volunteers to duel Andrews so Oliver can duel Nanao. She killed before, and not just one or two people. Not even one or twodozen....

Once she calms down from her initial tears, Ruka proposes that she help out with the production. Theyll get help theyre in dire need of, and shell get more time with Kazuya. Her last dig at Chizuru is to get Kazuya to say her curry was better. When Chizuru wordlessly agrees thats whats best and quietly leaves, he admires how mature shes being. But outside, its clear she didnt like hearing Kazuya say Rukas curry was better than her omurice....

Riko is also extremely full of herself, not concerned at all about beinglostonce she assimilates with Tengen-sama. She will be Tengen-sama and Tengen-sama will be her. Its not an absorbing, but a merging. Naturally, Fushiguro Touji is hired to ensure that doesnt happen. He just prefers the boat races. Suguru may not be breaking a sweat, but hes still fighting. Satoru, meanwhile, tracks down Riko, who is in the middle of choir practice....

Godard returns home to find his wifealso a vampirehas been murdered with a silver stake. The town and the press soon catch wind of the tragedy, suspecting a vampire hunter might be involved. Since he is himself supernatural, Godard isnt surprised upon meeting Ayas head. On the contrary, he is happy to have a detective of note on this case. Charlotte makes an appearance, but is freaked out by Tsugaru and the bodyless Aya....
