Natsukos attitude hasnt changed; shell figure something out…on her own.
Luke storms off to visit the graveyard of his fallen comrades.
Without trying too hard, Justice manages to glean a great deal about what Natsuko means to Luke.

That said, they refuse to participate in the coming battle.
Luke still doesnt know they cant fly anymore.
Its a very sweet moment and feels like a major evolution for Natsuko.

She realizes she was repeating the same M.O.
she was in her home world: trying to do everything herself instead of trusting and relying on others.
This time, they know the threat theyre dealing with and have time to prepare.

The five put their heads together and formulate a plan.
But the sheer speed and brute force of the Void soon proves a problem.
For the first time, Natsuko draws something not just to obliterate the enemy, but support her teammates.

Specifically, a series of stairs that Luke and Unio can use to pursue the ascending Void.
Justice accedes, busting holes in Natsukos desk so they can hold it in place as they fly.
Thus ends a fabulously-animated and choreographed battle sequence, reflecting the newfound harmony and coordination of the team.

The fact shes now fighting like a member of the team can only enhance his affection.
If only Natsuko had a clue how he felt!
