Shinobu asks Koyomi or a favor for when Suicide-Master revives: she wants to look tough, so she asks him to pretend hes her slave instead of vice-versa.
Along that theme, Koyomi asks both Kanbaru and Oikura to be his slaves for the night, though only the former agrees, in the form of offering the use of her house.
Koyomi relies once more on Meniko to decode the new sequence from the victims unlocked phone, which doesnt take her any time at all.
All four numbers end in 0, so when she interprets them not as numbers but enlarged degree symbols, the four numbers are high and low temperatures in Fahrenheit and Celsius:F/C.
Since none of the basketball club members have those initials, Koyomi surmises thatF/Cmust stand for something else, likeFan Club,like the very spirited one for Kanbaru Suruga when she was the basketball ace.
However, after meeting with his sister (and now high schooler) Karen, Koyomi learns that not only has that fan club disbanded, but with Karen graduating Tsukihi is carrying on in middle school as the sole memebr of the Fire Sisters.
Gaen reports to Koyomi that of all the other basketball club members are accounted for, which means theyre innocent.
While a vampire may yet be among the students at Naoetsu High, this puts Koyomi back at square one.
However, the night arrives when Suicide-Master can be revived, which should surely answer a few questions (and also create a few more).
Before Gaen initiates the ritual, Koyomi asks Shinobu what it feels like to live for 600 years, which seems incomprehensible considering how much change he has undergone in just the last year and change (represented by promo art for all the previousMonogatariarcs).
Shinobu simply reminds him that as apparitions, vampires like her and her old frienddontchange at the same pace of humans, and in fact are defined by just how unchanging they are.
This comes off as a little ironic considering how much Acerola / Kiss-Shot / Shinobu actually has changed throughout her life, not to mention both she and Suicide-Master now appear as young girls rather than the full-grown women of their primes.
When Suicide-Masters eyes finally open and she sees Shinobu and begins to laugh, Shinobu joins along until they become a chorus of conviviality.
Suicide-Master declares once again that she has died again, but now shes back, and hopefully has some answers.
