Tsurumi will let her goifTanigaki delivers Asirpa to him. Theres also a tattooed prisoner with a mustache going around murdering prostitutes in Sapporo. Tsurumi sends Kikuta and Usami to Sapporo to deal with the prisoner. Since the master closed the dojo, Tsurumi has them spar outside. Usami beats Tomoharu once more, then stomps on his throat, crushing his windpipe. Usami is deeply moved that Tsurumi covered for him even though it meant drawing the ire of his superiors....

It may be a new year, but for Shiraishi, not much has changed. Most people still fail to notice his existence. She then wonders why youth tastes like lemon. Shiraishi thinks his youth would probably be more like wateroften overlooked or ignored for itslackof flavor. This miffs Kubo, who asks what about her? Thats when, nownineepisodes in, Shiraishi finally realizes that he and Kubo are friends. So hes slow on the uptake as usual, but thankfully no longertotallyclueless thanks to Kubo....

The summer details dont stop there. I totally get why Mitsumis such a good person…look where she comes from! Then theres the impossibly sweet reunion of Mitsumi with her bestest friend Fumi-chan. She literally jumps onto her like a baby panda on its mama. Fumi reports that shes officially seeing the guy she spoke of before; she wanted Mitsumi to know first. They get together with the rest of their middle school chums and launch some fireworks on the beach....

But wasnt that kinda the point? Anamizu is even approached by a strapping senpai she likes who wants to go to the viewing party. Kani continues to maintain a slightly antagonistic attitude towards Ganta, protesting when he shows up ninja-like. We see Gantas family life is near non-existent. That said, my heart was lifted when Isaki placed the glowing star antennae on his head. When they cant simply talk things out, Isaki starts recording another episode of her radio show....

His fathers head laughs at Canute for showing mercy, especially after all of the lives hes taken. He urges his son to keep paving a road of corpses until he reaches paradise. He decides that theyll surrender. He doesnt care what happens to him, as long as the killing stops. Snake has his back, but I wonder if Thorgil will really head his coward brothers wishes. As for Sverkel, hes proud that his grandson has become a man....

She made another meal for him as thanks for his help with her laptop. Could that be the only reason shes joining the guild? She cant drink water, and hasnt eaten in a day, but has nothing for rice porridge. Fortunately for her, Yamada is close by. If Miorine wins, then the real talks can begin. Seeing them shake hands after her hand was previously ignored feels like a big win for Mio. Turns out its the only win shell get, and an all too brief one. Suletta, having hit rock bottom last week, finally begins her slow ascent. Its here where Suletta realizes she still has a family that cares about her. Suletta knows Nika wasnt trying to cause any harm but only protect her own family....

Elias proposes a compromise. He makes a smaller, dog-sized duplicate of himself that isnt very strong. She makes sure to warn Lucy not to get on any horses she sees. But theressomethingout there lurking in the sea. The next morning, Chise makes a Philomela sighting, but she scurries away after exchanging good mornings. Lucy doesnt understand why Chise is bothering with Mela; Chise sees a bit of herself in her....

While doing wall climbing in P.E. class, Rian remembers when Philomela helped him climb a tree. Elias wonders if having such memories is good or bad. The towering maid Alcyone is friendlier, as Philomela reports that a girl at the College sensed her presence. Philomela still wants a countermeasure. She reminds Philomela that shes only allowed to attend the College due to Veronicas charity. The episode ends with some home ec cooking, followed by a rather sharp transition to a camping trip....

This week we witness and extended interaction between Chise and Lucy Webster for the first time since they met. Despite Chise being cursed, Lucy is the one with the dragon-sized chip on her shoulder. Theres an almostperformativequality to her rude abrasiveness. That Chise is immune to it only makes her more irritated. Chise learns about the Seven Shields, the seven distinguished families that founded the College. Jasmine is from the Saint George Family; Rian is from the Scrimgeours....

Those are all true, but they barely scratch the surface of theloverequired to consider someone your bride. When its time to head back to the College (does Chise just stay at her dorm part time? We learn why when a pack of monstrous drooling beasts known as the Guard Dogs appear. The Centaur offers fresh meat in exchange for safe passage along a narrow route. Confidence emanates from this shows unrushed, measured presentation that prioritizes atmosphere over alacrity....

Rian is also interested in Alice, who isnt the slightest bit interested in becoming a mage. Rian expected as much, but isnt so ready to give up. Shes then visited by Joseph, who doesnt eat, only drinks water, and sleeps a lot. She brushes back her hair and her green eye becomes steel blue like his. Chise forgot, because she just doesnt use her phone that much. I dont think weve evenseenit yet this season!...

Despite his silent objections, Yamada Anna continues to intrude upon Kyoutarous holy space, i.e. the library of loneliness. But he cant deny its never a dull moment with Anna in there stuffing her face. He gets a cup for her, but by then shes already mixing the candy by the sink. Basically any excuse to get the little guy closer to Anna will do. Chihiro realizes pretty quickly the statuesque lass is under there, and lures her out by complimenting her....
