As an adult, Ive tried to emulate this whenever I can.

Not to mention, a meal makes a fantastic thank-you gift, too.

Thats one reason why receiving an already-made potpie from someone else can feel like such a treat.

Its still as delicious and cozy as a traditional one.

Sprinkle in some flour and cook for about 30 seconds before adding in the broth.

Then theres the biscuits.

Did I mention they come together in just one bowl?

Lastly, pour the buttermilk into the bowl and mix until just combined.

Bake at 350F for about 30 minutes until nice and bubblyand the dish is done.

Whenever I drop this dish off, its a big hit.

Part of that may be because of the nostalgia, but another reason is because its deeply delicious.
