These candied sweet potatoes are super simple to make.

The sweet potatoes are tender and buttery, while cinnamon and cardamom add warmth and flavor.

The pecans add a great crunch.

Candied Sweet Potatoes

Lightly coat a 13-by-9-inch (3-quart) baking dish with cooking spray.

Add sweet potatoes and toss to fully coat.

Shingle the sweet potatoes in the prepared baking dish.

Drizzle any remaining brown sugar mixture over the top.

Cover the baking dish with foil.

Bake for 30 minutes.

Remove from oven; let stand for 10 minutes.

Sprinkle with pecans and serve.
