Look for pure aloe vera gel at natural-foods stores or online.
Or make your own from the leaves of the aloe vera plant.
You’ll need 2 large or 4 medium leaves to get 2 tablespoons gel.
Cut the flat side of the leaf away, then scrape out the gel with a spoon.
Leave behind and discard the bitter yellow latex layer with the outer part of the leaves.
