The lad declares that hell be challenging Makotos students in the upcoming academy tournament. Turns out Princess Lily also knows Root in his capacity as founder of the Adventurers Guild. And so the stage is set for the academy tournament, with Makotos students being pitted against each other....

The next day, they wake up suddenly young again (though still with grayish white hair). Their younger family members take this pretty well, all things considered. This is a straightforward gag comedy, jumping from one skit to the next punctuated by interstitials. While unlikely to make the Spring cuts, I dug the high concept and general earnestness.

Cliff tells him that the first step to marriage is procuring a house in which to live. Rudy chooses a huge run-down mansion whose previous residents were killed by a mysterious evil spirit. He, Cliff, and Zanoba inspect the house, but find nothing. While spending the night, Cliff hears sounds and wakes the others. Next up: a hopefully drama-free wedding ceremony. Both these kids deserve a break or two.

Misfortune seems to follow Yamamoto Mito everywhere he goes. He lost his parents in a fire, and his other relatives kicked him onto the streets. Instead, he slips and almost falls … but hes caught by the finger-licking waiter. Mitos secret femininity is also a good hook to keep watching for another episode or two.

You could say Kouzuki Mahiru peaked early, and as such is in a state of arrested development. Her grade school-age little sister even notices it. She wanders the gloriously-depicted streets of Shibuya aimlessly, like a jellyfish. Shibuya itself feels like a giant aquarium teeming with life and color. Mahiru follows this girl like a stalker, but ends up getting caught. Mahiru learns that Kano was once a pop idol, but things happened and she went down in flames....

The story is that Rimurusavedthepeopleof Falmuth from Veldoras wrath, with help from the Dryads. Meanwhile, Veldora is lounging around snacking on matcha pudding. But what matters is what the nobles and people Falmuthbelieve. Edmaris is to abicate and the kingdom must pay 10,000 gold coins in reparations; 2.) Falmuth itself must agree to become a vassal of Tempest, or 3.) the war will continue. If not, well … heisa Demon Lord now....

LikeSign,a girl who has never fallen in love has the attention of a hottie. LikeDangers,theres the visual mismatch in terms of height and looks, only with the sexes reversed. Its less a matter of her thinking shes deficient, just different. But he does, eventually, apologize say hell stop bothering her. While in Hananois orbit, Hotaru cant deny shes thinking about him more, and feeling new feelings. Heck, she even yells at him out in the snow, and she isnota yeller!...

Silvia tries to go against the options hed set for her, and pays the price. He inhabits Cyans body, but Naomi merges her consciousness within Rouge and fights Roy-in-Cyans body. Cyan also fights Roy and rejects him, enabling Rouge/Naomi to defeat him. Rouge then activates Code Eve, which I thought shedidntwant to do, and it triggers a Usurper trap. Now Neans can push humans who push them, but arent automatically killbots, I guess....

Yuru Campwas a healing balm during Covid, but its no less welcome now that everythings opened up. The episode is neatly split into two separate stories. First up is Rin, who is on a camping trip by herself to Lake Shojiko.

None of them can put a dent in Makotos Mana Matter. They want her back. Princess Lily is also tailing Makoto and his cavorting party from the shadows.

Spice and Wolfwas one of the first two-cour fantasy anime series I ever watched, and I loved it. It had a wonderful warmth and dignity and air of profundity to it. Its a hard combo to ignore … so I wont!
